2017 Bowlers of the Year

Year 2017

Bowlers of the Year

The Canadian Bowlers of the Year recognize outstanding achievements in tenpin bowling across three key categories: Male and Female Masters, Seniors, and Youth. The Masters category celebrates bowlers aged 50 and older who continue to showcase their passion and expertise through exceptional performances. The Seniors category honors adult bowlers of all ages who demonstrate remarkable skill, consistency, and dedication to the sport. Meanwhile, the Youth category highlights the future of Canadian tenpin bowling, recognizing young athletes who exhibit extraordinary potential, determination, and sportsmanship. These awards not only celebrate individual accomplishments but also serve to inspire the entire bowling community.

Over the years, the Canadian tenpin bowling categories have undergone name changes to better reflect their participants and the evolving structure of the sport. The Seniors category, which was previously referred to as Adult, now includes all adult bowlers regardless of age, showcasing the skill and dedication of players across a wide range of experience levels. The Masters category, formerly known as Seniors, now specifically highlights bowlers aged 50 and older, celebrating their continued excellence and contributions to the game. Additionally, the Youth category has been renamed Juniors to align with common terminology, honoring the rising stars of Canadian bowling.
